Darrell:

Tampines East CC is organizing an event on 30th May at Valhall It will be a 4 on 4 mix gender competition.

Two rounds will be played, with the first round being a round robin and the second round a knockout stage.

Players age 15-35 are welcome to take part.

There will be lucky draws and gifts to be given away.

Most Division 1 players will not be taking part due to the clash in timing with the ongoing league.

*Anybody interested in taking part pls inform me so I can send you the registration form.

Date: 30th of May 2010 (Sunday)
Time: 12pm to 6pm (registration starts at 11am)
Venue: ValHall Courts 1 and 2

Prizes
1st prize: $250 worth of floorball vouchers
2nd prize: $200 worth of floorball vouchers
3rd prize: $150 worth of floorball vouchers

COMPETITION RULES FOR Floorball 4 U

1. GENERAL

1.1. Registration

Each team is to appoint a team manager who shall be above the age of 18 years. The team manager or the assistant team manager is to be present at all matches.

The team manager shall ensure that all players’ particulars are registered accurately and the registration is only valid when the tournament fees are paid in full.

After confirmation of the details of the players on the day of the tournament, there shall be no further changes to any registration details.

Dateline for registration is Wednesday, 26 May 2010.

1.2. Tournament Fees

Registration fees of $30.00 per team are to be paid by:-

a. Cheque to the Tampines East CC YEC.

b. Cash at Tampines East CC Constituency Office 10, Tampines St 23, Singapore

2. PLAYING FORMAT

2.1. 1st round: Group stage (5min per match)

In the preliminary round, each team will play all other teams in that group. At
the end of the preliminary round, each team will be ranked in its respective conference based on the total points accumulated by the team.The top 2 teams in each group of 4 teams would go through to the next round.

2.2. 2nd round: Knockout stage (10min per match)

For the 2nd round, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the play-offs. The play-offs will be in a knock-out format with the winners of each match proceeding to the next match. The winner of the final match will be declared the overall tournament champion.

2.3. Points System

The points system to determine the conference rankings for the Floorball 4 U tournament is as follows:
· 3 points to be awarded for a victory
· 1 point to be awarded for a draw
· 0 points to be awarded for a loss

2.4. Fixtures

Fixtures shall be finalized by the Tournament Committee (TC).
Draws for the grouping will be done upon registration on the day of the tournament.
For each match, one team will be designated as the Home Team and the other the Away Team.

3. GAME RULES

3.1. General

3.2. Game rules are in accordance with the IFF and SFA approved rules and subject to special amendments for the Floorball 4 U Tournament.

3.3. Number of Players

Each team registration would consist of 5 players aged between 15 and 35.

4 players are to be playing in the court at any one time with 1 rolling substitute on the bench.

Each team has to field at least 1 player of opposite gender on the court at any one time.

All teams are required to bring their own sticks. If the colour of the jerseys clash, there will be a coin toss to decide which team will wear the bib.

3.4. Game Format

In the event that either team is not on court at the correct time or has less than three players present on court, the referee shall declare a walk over after 3 minutes from the scheduled match time. Only the match referees and officials have the authority to declare such a walk over and they shall immediately report the walk over to the TC.

During play time, there shall be a maximum of 4 players from each team on court. There will not be any goalkeepers required for the teams.

The matches will not run on effective time and teams shall not be entitled to request for any time-out during the match.

4. WALK OVER AND DISMISSAL OF TEAMS

4.1. General Guidelines

The TC will review and investigate all cancelled or interrupted games.

4.2. Walkover

A match shall be considered as a walkover when:

• A team does not turn up for the match.
• A team does not have the minimum number of players required to play the match.
• A team without proper cause leaves the court before the match is completed.
• A club’s players, team staff or supporters whom the club has responsibility for are
behaving in an unsportsman-like manner or are guilty of violent play or conduct such
that the match officials and referees are of the view that the only option is to stop the match.
If a walkover is declared, the match shall be awarded with a score of 5-0 in favour of the team who has abided to the competition rules.

5. PROTEST AND DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

5.1. Protest

A protest against the match results must be made within 10 minutes after the completion of the match to the match secretaries at the competition venue. The protesting team shall then present their case in writing to the TC within half an hour together with the payment of a $10 fee. This fee shall be refunded in the event that the protest is justified.

The TC and/or its disciplinary committee shall review the protest and any decision made shall be final.

5.2. Disciplinary Action

Any decision undertaken by the TC and or its disciplinary committee shall be final.
