Oh but seriously darrell, next time we go k, just sing!!!!!

Jarryl's wise words
Sunday, July 3, 2011

Hi

firstly id like to say, darrell had done too much, too much as captain, too much as a leader. Id like to clarify im not fawning, cos i have nothing to gain from him. But lets just be honest with ourselves, he has no need to do these at all.

I mean, he's one of the best leaders you can find around.

Sorry ryan but honestly, when darrell went to line 2, everything just went so well. Probably because he doesnt yell at them as much as you do. Well youd probably be thinking dont yell how they learn, you must know how to take criticisms to learn what.......................................

But apparently it didnt seem to work for those past years so... yes, it didnt work.

Captain, i still think your drag shot is the best in the team (:

id skip parts about how good darrell is, how has he been the foundation of the team etc. Cause it sounds so flattery. Ha.

Id just like to say, you're so amazing.

Its great sleeping together (same room not bed) at perth.

I bet my alarm clock is amazing.

THen see, he posted all those credits. Done by him again.

Well i shall keep it short cause if its too long it would just lose peoples attention and interest.

See you in a div captain.

Till then. (:

Darrell:

This season has been a really emotional one for me. There were times where I was joyful, there were times that I was sad. It was a dream come true for all of us, for we dream of this for a long long time already.

We trained really hard to get to where we are, but to me what really matter most isn't the trohpy, but the common experience we share, the great times we had and the fact the the all of us stayed as one team. The trophy is just a recognition for our ability but the really priceless thing is the friendship that we have built throughout our 4 years when we were in CHS floorball.

Sometime I just can't help to wonder whether we can stay as close as we were during the season, after the season has ended. Floorball has become part of my life and my passion for this sport is still burning. It had made me into who I am today. If anybody asked me what was my most memorable time in my life, I would say is my chs floorball experience. The buddies I made, the tough PT we had, the fun court training everyone enjoyed, would be etched in my mind forever. Maybe it will fade away slowly, but I'm sure I will never forget the great times we had. It is hard to mention it in this short passage. What some of us went through is merely indescribable.

Crenshawn, Derek, Joshua, Jarryl, Ryan, Eugene, Jie Ying, I would like to thank all of you for making wonderful memories with me. My time in CHS would not have been enjoyable without your company. The laughters we shared, the great time we had at Radiers, the silly jokes we made and the uncountable number of outing we had, I truly enjoyed them. Those are like my most happy moments in my life, those days where we will all go out and have all the fun we want. I really miss those days...

It is no wonder that we can't meet up and have fun as much due to O levels but I hope our friendship will stay forever. To me, the champion trophy is merely a trophy, what I cherish most is the friendship and bonds that I share. Those are the really priceless one. I was reading through my blog post and realised that we indeed used to have so much fun.

Of course, the rest of the team, thank you for being such great teammates. I really wasn't a very good captain but you guys did not blame me for my incompetence. I thank you for that and thank you for being such a great friend on and off court.

A small segment here dedicated to Mr Han. Thank you for your coaching that has brought me to where I am today. I hope I did not fall to your expectations, i really tried my very best to play and lead to the best of my ability. I really hope that I did not disappoint you. You are a really good coach, the advises you gave me were invualable and under your guidance, I have became a better player. It was a long journey for both you and I, but the journey ended with a happy ending. I'm glad all your hard work paid off. 4 years, I'm sure it wasn't easy. Thank you Mr Han. My gratitude can't be described in merely one paragraph. But no matter what, THANK YOU!!!

It is a memory I will keep deep in my heart. Floorball has made me a different person for I meet people that made my secondary school life an undoubtedly enjoyable one. My life would never be the same without you guys (you know who you are) and I'm really grateful to god for blessing me with such great buddies.

You know what, if one day we were to really form a league team and given the chance to play together again, I swear, even if I'm in a top team, I WILL join the league team. For what make my heart burning with passion for floorball, is not just the sport, but the people whom I play it with. My dream, is really to be able to play together till we are old and no longer able to walk. I hope our friendship doesn't end here, I really hope to have you guys by my side even when I'm old and weak.

I dunno whether you guys feel the same, but I really LOVE you guys. As in not the gay sense, but the brotherly love kinda thing. Haiz, though we sometime quarrel and argue here and there, I hope that we can stay as close as always. Studies are impt for our future is at sake but to me, friendship is priceless.

Memories are priceless too. How I wished we captured photos of all the great time we had together. It makes me wanna cry as I think back to those days...

As the captain, this blog shall be my last dedication to the team. I hope you guys appreciate it for I spent quite some effort. haha, so gonna cry now...

#100 Mr Han

Your dream have finally came through I believe, and I'm glad your hard work paid off. It wasn't easy I guess, to start an entire CCA from scratch but your passion for the sport and your strong belief that floorball will one day flourish as one of the niche sports in CHS made the impossible become possible.

The moment when the final whistle was blew, I'm sure you couldn't believe it yourself. 4 years, you have finally achieved what u set out to do. To most of us, you have spent what seemed to be 1/4 of our lives working on a dream you had. It was a grueling process, having to teach beginners from scratch then slowly helping them to improve through various means but slowly but surely, we have improved and done you proud.

It is such an epic story that one could hardly believe. So typical of a fairytale with a happy ending. But it was reality. Without your guidance and coaching, us players will never be the player we are today. If not for floorball, some of us might still be in softball, table tennis or basketball. You gave us this chance to become buddies, to become teammates, to be able to taste glory. My life would never be the same without floorball and you were the one that brought floorball to my life. For that, I really thankful.

It is a mystery to us how you were able to coach a champion team from scratch but I'm sure you are clearly aware of the steps and processes we had to go through. No other coach could have possibly done what you have achieved for it is simply amazing. We put in out decent share of hard work but you did yours too.

Given the limited amount of players you had, you were able to develop us to our true potential and made the best out of what you had. People said we were lucky to win the championship but if they realised how much we had to go through to be the champs, I think they will change their minds, cose we really went through alot more than the others to become who we are today.

Mr Han, thank you for being there when we needed you and thank you for changing our lives.

Sec 3s...

I wouldn't write much about you guys as you guys still have one more year to prove your true potential. I hope you had an excellent season just like me and I thank all of you for being such a great teammate. Jie Ying, Jia Li, Jed, Eugene, Jireh, Yu Ren and Sheng Yen.

Wish you the best of luck in leading the team to glory next year. Hope you guys can continue to maintain CHS as one of the top floorball schools in Singapore. All the best!

#90 Joshua Lee

As seen from the photo, as always down on his knees, for we all know the enormous amount of shots this person have shielded for the team. His defending ability is sometimes beyond imagination, for he is able to make forwards whine for not being able to attack the goal.

Joshua role in the team's success is inevitably the greatest, for he lay down the foundation of Line 1. People might watch in awe how Jarryl, Crenshawn and Ryan string up the passes which allowed the dangerous free-flowing play of Line 1, but few have noticed what had enabled the trio to move forward with ease. Joshua has consistently guarded the defence alone in situations of counter-attacks but have never failed to deliver by putting the situation under control through precise positioning and well-timed interceptions.

Let's not take credits away also. Joshua has also made fluent play in Line 1 possible, for his distribution has allowed the forwards to receive the ball in open areas, piercing the opponent's defence time to time. Joshua has also made Line 1 an impossibly dangerous line by his unpredictable forward arrays. Such movements has an unimaginable impact which saw Joshua netting the 5cm bouncing ball volley at the edge of the keeper box at the semi-finals against Northland Secondary School. With just 16s left on the clock, Joshua managed to execute his backhand volley, resulting in the winning goal of the match which brought Team CHS to the finals. He did it again in the finals, netting the sixth goal in a similar fashion, which nailed down the game, bringing CHS its maiden title.

Always putting his speed to great use, Joshua has blocked countless amount of shots by covering the line of shot of the shooter. Few have managed to dribble past him, and if they did, Joshua's tracking back with hinder them from causing any damage to the defence.

As the vice-captain, Joshua has lead the team in the absence of Darrell, putting his leadership qualities to excellent use. Not only that, working hand-in-hand with Darrell, credits must not be stolen from Joshua for he had contributed greatly to the planning and carrying out of the FB camp. A priceless assistant to the leader, for I (Darrell) will never be able to lead like how I always did without Joshua. The discussion and talks we had among ourselves regarding team issues are too many to recall.

Joshua is undoubtedly the guy with the most nicknames with the first ever one being over the bar to SK to the back-hand volley king, Joshua has brought smiles to his teammates by their naughty teasing.

Always putting on a bright face, always look on the bright side. A.K.A SK (slow king) in the term of reaction, but the direct opposite when it comes to speed. Joshua, we thank you for everything, for it is impossible to mention all you have done for the team, one thing too many, for it is too much to be measured in mere numbers.

#32 Nicholas Chee

The quietest guy in the team, but he never fails to make an impact on court.

Always persistently working hard on court, Nicholas have been one of the players which the coach can count on whenever he needs one. He has provided depth in the squad, which is one of the crucial factors in building a strong team.

Nicholas possesses excellent marksmanship for he never fails to put the ball in the net when the chance arises. He is clinical, fast and aggressive, possessing the major elements which a forward should have.

Few have noticed the amount of hard work Nicholas put into every training but I did. Never wanting to claim any glory, just waiting nonchalantly for which the time arrives when his services are needed, Nicholas's contribution cannot be measured to any other. We thank you for all you have done, for we shall all remember the jersey bearing the #32.

# 27 Derek Sng

The foundation of the Line 2 defence. Derek has proven his ability as a rock solid defender for the entire season, contributing not only by denying opponents from scoring but also by excellent distribution of balls to the forward which greatly enhanced the entire line's dynamics in terms of defense and offense.

Probably the strongest in the team, blessed with enormous strength, Derek has put his strength and aggression to great use this season, which saw him shutting down my opponents from scoring by his persistent yet effective defending.

One of the secret behind 2011 'B' Division was that the team does not concede too many goals. The average is only 2 per game. As the saying goes, " The defence wins the season." I can't agree more. Instead of just looking at the goalscorers for the team success, one should pay attention to the foundation which construct the a champion team, the defence. Unlike many team's line 2, CHS line 2 have proven to be just as good as any line 1 and much credit have to be given to Derek for his vast and invaluable part in the defence.

Never give up, always fighting, that's his attitude. Derek, on behalf of the entire team, we thank you, thank you sincerely for all you have contributed to the team and most importantly, for all the memories that you have etched on our minds...

#23 Crenshawn

Best 2011 B Division floorball players

1) Crenshawn Lim (Forward, Catholic High) (31%, 85 Votes) Still increasing...

No doubt, even the floorball community agrees, the possibly best floorball player of the 2011 B Division, lies right before our eyes.

The top scorer of the season, high up above everyone with 25 goals, Crenshawn have scored many crucial goals throughout the season which ultimately lead us to our championship. A player with superb stickwork , excellent dribbling and blessed with an angel's shot, Crenshawn have made what was the impossible possible. He have rarely failed to put the ball in the net given the chance arises. A clinical forward, he have gradually become 'goalkeeper's nemesis'.

Blessed with an excellent vision on court, Crenshawn exploited all possible open space left by the opponent defenders, which set Line 1 ripping apart any teams defence. 'King of all shots', though he never brags about it, the team have came to recognise his excellence in his shot.

Being able to score from anywhere the court, tight angles have yet to trouble him. The first instinct when you see Crenshawn with the ball, is for him to score. A hardworking player that never stops running and pushing himself, thank you Crenshawn, for all you have done for the team. We will remember all that you have done, deep in our hearts...

#21 Darrell , Captain Marvel

Perhaps the next biggest contributor to CHS's Championship title , good captain's don't come easily but fortunately , we have one in Darrell. Carefree on the outside , serious on the inside. Darrell's willingness to lead the others and to resort to unorthodox measures to bond the team is inspiring. Organising the camp to forming the team dance , Darrell has really stepped up as a Captain to lead the team. Unselfishly helping the team in many ways , only those appreciative will know of his contributions to the team.

Both a leader off-court and on-court , Darrell possesses a dangerous drag shot , a sick range of shots and magical dribbling skills. For what he lacks in stamina , he makes up with determination and hard work. Despite being an important member of Line 1 , for some reasons not to be mentioned , he selflessly switched places with Ryan. Leading Line 2 in both offense and defense , Darrell scored 16 goals to be 3rd in the top-scorer list and defended valiantly against tough opponents. Being able to physical with any player , dribble past players with utmost ease and pulling off wicked drag shots from far , as seen in the finals where he score a superb solo effort , Darrell's versatility proved crucial to the team as he began to become a pivotal role in line 2.

Never grumbling [only to me] when his line doesn't play well , never grumbling when he doesn't score goals , never grumbling when he doesn't get the limelight [again only to me] , Darrell continuously strives on helping his line by teaching them constantly and reminding them like a mentor. Darrell's selfless display of contribution to the team can never be doubted. Always conjuring up inspiring speeches to the team when in need , Darrell has also helped everyone in the team to be brought back down to earth whenever need be , and most importantly inspire us to play beyong our limits.

Although he might fail sometimes in his airhooking endeavours , he is still the undoubted airhooking king in our team as can be seen from his title given to him in the 3on3 competition where he airhooked continuously for 3 minutes. Always cracking jokes outside of court , but always making the opponents look like a joke as well , Darrell is an important piece in our CHS jigsaw puzzle. Without him , the puzzle being us would just collapse and crumble into pieces.

As the dictionary aptly explains the true meaning of being a Captain -
a person who is at the head of or in authority over others; chief; leader.

Darrell lives up to that title word for word both on and off court. Thank you on behalf of the team for all the effort you have put in for the team and your unlimitless contributions.

#16 Eugene Lee

Regarded by many as being the most valuable player in the team, I can't help but agree. Eugene has only let in 19 goals the entire season which lasted for 11 games, making it an average of 1.73 goals per game. That is a freaking scary record to maintain which many keepers from other schools have failed to achieve.

Cheerful off court, serious on court, Eugene has never failed the team before. Knowing that he is at goal, players can put their mind at ease as we know that Eugene will save, literally, everything that comes flying towards him. Few have manage to put the ball past him. With Bedok South managing 5, that was the most any team got.

His goalkeeping skills are of utmost standard, given his big size, he is still capable of moving around quickly, or making consecutive saves in a row. One classic example was during the finals, where he make 3 to 4 saves in a row to deny VS any hope of scoring and winning the game.

For Catholic High captain Darrell Er, his goalkeeper Eugene Lee was the difference in the game.

“I personally feel that we were quite lucky today to be able to pull off this win against Victoria School today as VS players came close on many attempts but our keeper, Eugene Lee, did great to deny them of goals which could have changed the entire game,” said Darrell.

I meant what I say. Eugene, Thank you, for being there when we needed you. No matter under what circumstances, you was always there for us. Even when your leg is cramping and pain piercing through your veins, you never grumbled. You made the difference, you made your presence felt for every game. We could have never done without you...

#13 Jarryl Chan

Needless to say, the possibly biggest contributer to CHS's championship title. Ever since Jarryl joined floorball in 2009, his serious training attitude and willingness to learn and seen him improve tremendously, securing his place in the team within less than a year.

Jarryl have established himself to be irreplaceable in Line 1 due to the wonderful skill he possesses. Sick ball control, dribbling that never fail to amaze, godly shooting ability that always find the net, Jarryl have netted 23 goals to once again prove his worth to the team, the second highest number of goal scored, just behind Crenshawn by 2.

The way he plays on court, is dazzling. He can be up front attacking and be back at the defence in a second. Constantly supporting the forwards by pushing up to attack, Jarryl has made Line 1 the possibly strongest line in the whole B Div. With his inexhaustable stamina, Jarryl never stops running on court. As steady as a rock, Jarryl have seen us through many games by maintaining a tight defence. A defender that puts our keeper at ease and the opponent's at risk, thank you Jarryl, for making our championship possible.

#12 Samuel Yu

A fast and versatile forward which can easily outrun any defenders. He uses his speed to his advantage, driving down the side and then taking shots that often indulge not only his opponents, but his teammates as well.

Having been in the team from the moment he joined floorball, he is a very experienced forward with the ability to shoot from literally anywhere on court, making him a very dangerous player that are feared by many. As quoted from some RI players, they name him and Ryan 'the brothers of destruction'.

A very precious piece that shaped our championship. A player that will never be forgotten, a role model for many. Thank you Samuel, for everything you have done for the team!

#7 Ryan Cheng

A player with superb vision, control, dribbling skills and ball distribution. Ryan have proved to be one of the most important player ever since he joined the floorball team.

Not only can he score, he is capable of creating goals but moving into open space then laying off the pass for his teammates to finish. His sick dribbling ability saw him trampled many team's defence, ripping their defensive shape apart.

A free-spirited player, he not only have scored 14 goals for the team, he have created even more for his teammates, with Crenshawn scoring 25 and Jarryl scoring 23.

He is the kind of player that scolds his fellow teammate, with the kind intention of trying to push them to improve. An invaluable asset to CHS floorball. Thank you Ryan, for everything you have sacrificed for the team. Sacrifices that cannot be put in simple words. #7, a star player, it describes you no better.

#6 Billy Chiam

#6 - Billy Chiam

A player that have joined floorball from the very start. Played an extremely crucial role in maintaining CH's tight defence. a very experienced defend that knows his role in the team. Often using his size to his advantage, he is capable of tackling balls off the opponents.

A player that is willing to learn humbly, a player that never grumbles about tough training. Thank you Billy, for your enormous contribution to the team! An integral part of our success. A solid defender that saw us through many important matches.

It was a long journey...

Darrell:

2009 March 11th - As I was lying down in my bed, I could still vividly remember the screams from the crowd every time players from either side miss the goal by a hair. Amazing stickwork and superb shooting from the players still got me wondering how did they manage to hone such perfect skills. How I wish I can play in the finals, I sighed and fell asleep…

Every night, without fail, my chain of thoughts will unconsciously drift to me playing in the finals. Spin-around, dragshot, amazing dribbling, bla bla bla. Those were only a wishful thinking of mine then. I never thought this day would ever come, NEVER. Being part of the audience, I could clearly feel the electrifying atmosphere that hanged in the air as the finals was played.

Every night I would imagine myself being one of the players down there and try to visualize myself in their shoes. That was what drive me train hard. Top 4, Top 4, Top 4. We all clearly wanted a medal, wanted to be there to receive our acknowledgement for our hard work. So from 2009, the B div aim was to get Top 4.

After a painful loss to Teck Whye, and a heartbreaking draw with East View, the 2010 B Div ended painfully. Even though the squad had a fair share of talents, we were not even able to qualify for the 2nd round. It got me reflecting then. What went wrong? We were not well prepared enough. We needed more outstanding players to improve the standards. We need more compact defense, since our defense was devastating weak. We need better fitness. We need better shooters. We need more exposure. We need a new training regime. In totally, we needed to get even better.

So from the moment our batch took over from the graduating batch, we were quick to make amends to things that needed to be changed. Trainings were no longer as slack as it used to be. Slackers were reprimanded and are warned that they can be kicked out of the squad if they do not change. The thought of attaining Top 4 kept driving us to push ourselves beyond our limits.

Then came combined schools. The 4 of us were thrown into hell. Literally. The standard there was far from what we were capable of performing. The entire training regime at CS was a new exposure to the 4 of us, as it allowed us to witness what kind of players are needed if we wanted to achieve Top 4. Being able to meet the best players from other top floorball schools got us to realise how much we have to catch up. I can still remember how I normally get home at 11.30, and only being able to sleep at 12. It was very tough, but for me, as long as top 4 can be achieved, everything is worth it.

Div 1 was even crazier. For me, I can literally not hold the ball for more than 3 seconds. For the entire season, I could only managed 1 goal though I played 5 to 6 games. No matter what, the experience benefited us a lot and we all found ourselves to be better players after the season. Crenshawn, Eugene, Derek were not going to be left behind too. Even though they did not play for CS, they trained hard and kept up to standard.

Mr Han and I, along with some other players, changed the training regime and decided to follow the new regime which worked quite differently from before. Talented players with attitude problem were kicked out of the squad while the hardworking ones were kept. PTs were more intense but rarely anybody grumbled. Extra training was conducted, ideas went crazy to the extend that ‘9 man plan’ was made, solely to help ourselves to improve really fast over the limited time we had. Though it did not really make it’s debut, the idea of ‘improving fast over a short period of time’ was there in our minds.

By August, the team’s overall standard had increased. The team kept training and the better players kept pushing one another and stayed back after every training to do extra practice. It was voluntarily, it only seem normal to most of us if we stay back to practice.

Before the holiday training started, the squad was finalised already. This was unlike previous years, but this allowed the squad to train more efficiently since there is lesser people. Drills can be conducted faster and better since everybody get to run through the routine more times. Holiday training was intense. No room for slacking. Scolding and arguments were not uncommon. No matter what happens on court, we were still friends off court. Teammates demanded much more from one another and were often forced to improve to meet the standard that is set by his fellow teammates. ‘If you are weak at something, you jolly well work on it.’

That was the mentality and it made us improve real fast. Friendlies were frequent and the team was very curious to try out new things every time. Lines started to talk to one another and keep improvising. Though frustrating, it was important if the line wanted to play well together.

As the season drew closer, pressure kept piling. Regardless of what, the team was now more or less ready. Line 1 has clearly shown its comprehensive team play and wonderful vision on court. Line 2 was somewhat not very steady, but still rather solid. The pre-season training was 3 times a week, with some of us needing to attend CS trainings as well, which was 2 times a week. That made it 5 times a week for us. It was very much crazy, but it did gear us up for the season and got us fully prepared.

The very first match was a pretty fun game, as players compete to see who could score more. However, there were no selfish play as CHS B Div trampled Shu Qun Sec 30-1. The 1 goal was painful, but most painful for Eugene Gan=)

The second match was not as easy, as we encounter AES, which had a decent team and coach. Nevertheless, we comfortably won with a 8-0 scoreline, highlighting the strength of the defense with a clean sheet.

Then came APAC for the 3 of us, myself, Ryan and Jarryl. It was yet another great exposure to the 3 of us, since we had to play with players 1.5 times our size. 2 times the size for Ryan. Being not able to train together for 2 weeks, with me and Ryan falling sick after the Australia trip, and the CNY that saw many players dip in fitness, BMS capitalized when we were at our weakness and defeated us 4-1. Playing with 6 players was scary as it was really physically straining plus many of us were not at our usual fitness level (given the above reason). Mr Han had no choice as the reserves were not up to standard yet. If they were to play, the entire shape of the line will be lost and it will end up with a worser scoreline. Mr Han took the only option that was available to him…

Geared up to perform better, CHS B div continued to foray forward despite the loss, after qualifying 2nd in group. Smiles appeared on our faces upon hearing the news that we will meet East View Sec and Coral Sec in our 2nd round. Revenge will be sweet as we meet our long time rivals.

East View match was somewhat a close fight the opponent’s coach applied a very effective tactic that somewhat prevent us from playing our usual game but still we were able to pull off with a win after a much mind-battle game from both sides. Coral Sec was not so lucky as we manage to put 7 past them after they cracked at the 2nd period. We kept our cool and they were the one that lost the mind game. They only managed 1, showcasing CHS’s strong defense once again.

At this point, after a request, Mr Han allowed me to switch roles with Ryan and thus letting Ryan play in line 1 while I play in line 2. Reasons? A secret=)

Bedok Town was a joke, as we thrashed them 21-1. Ryan-Cren combination proved effective and thus the lines readjustments were confirmed for the rest of the season.

3rd round was no laughing matter anymore as any team that made it this far is no joke anymore. Northbrooks was first to the slaughter. Expecting a very tough and physical game from them after witness their determined performance against BMS, we were in fact rather taken aback by their superb fitness and mental strength, wondering whether we could beat them.

The tough PTs finally came into good use as we were able to outmuscle them on court. We were able to keep out cool while they lost their temper. After learning our lesson from last year’s B div game against Teck Whye, in which many of us lost our temper and saw ourselves losing the game.

“ The opponent did not win the game, we lost it.” That was what went in my mind after Teck Whye’s game. To lose your cool on court is to lose the game. One cannot get emotional on court, we got to remain coolheaded at all times. They could dribble well, but our defense was as solid as ever. They can go pass 1, maybe 2, if they were to reach the 3rd it will be over for them. Even if they manage to go pass 3 defenders, we still got Eugene at goal. One-on-one is Eugene’s forte, as few manage to put the ball pass him when they face Eugene one-on-one.

Only needing to win 1 more game to secure a Top 4 placing, everybody was geared up for the Bedok South game. However, unknowingly, after the win over Northbrooks, some of us became rather complacent and acted as if we already won Top 4. Sensing a need to do something about it, Mr Han decided to walk out of the training before the Bedok South game. That jolt us back to reality and continue to be humble. Even though Bedok South was the supposedly weakest team in the group, we can’t afford to let our guards down as they have some players that are capable of scoring many goals.

To much relief, we were able to win the game 8-5 to secure our Top 4 aim. This was the first time a team was able to put 5 across our goal. Individuals were able to score against us, but teamwork and intelligence won us the game. ” Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence wins championship.”

The game against VS had little stress on us since a win or loss will make not much of a difference. Even though we were instructed to ‘relax’, many of us were geared up to beat our long time rivals VS. We played VS since Sec 2 and copied many of their style of play. In fact, we were trained to play like VS. To be able to beat VS will be amazing, and we were eager to give our best. Hard work finally paid off as we won our 1st ever game against VS, 3-2. This created a big upset as everybody predicted VS to win and were awaiting for a VS/BMS finals. To win VS would mean that VS will meet BMS in the semi-finals, destroying the ‘dream’ finals of VS against BMS.

Our mentality started to change. Since we can even beat teams like VS, nothing is impossible. We were all aiming for a place in the finals. We were not prepared to lose, winning is the only option. The semi-final saw us facing Northland. They have a strong team, with many of the players playing floorball, hockey and soccer. Their fitness and movement off the ball were of upmost standard. We were worried, but we knew that we are capable of beating them. When all hope was lost of winning within normal time, Joshua scored with 13 seconds left on the clock. It was a really epic goal, and totally killed off the opponents hopes of winning the game.

Remember the start of the whole journey? How playing in the finals was only a dream to me? Dreams do come true afterall if one put in enough hard work. It never occurred to me that I will ever get to play in the finals. Then as I looked as myself, I realized how much I have grown as a player, a player worthy to step on the court during the finals. As I look back, all the hard work and pain which I bitterly endured were all worth it. I was all fired up to play my best game in the finals and put winning aside first.

11 March. This day finally came. A day which I’ve long awaited for, a dream come true for me, and many of us. The atmosphere was terrific. As the crowd cheered 公教, 公教, 公教! , I truly experienced what is it to be like standing on court, playing in front of your school. To feel proud of yourself, to feel burdened to win in order not to disappoint the supporters, to feel pressuried as everybody is watching, to feel important, most importantly, to feel that you deserve every second on court.

My personal aim was to score 1 and create 1. I did it. The blissfulness was simply too wonderful to be expressed in simple words. I’ve always dreamt of scoring in the finals, esp a dragshot. The feeling after scoring was simply heavenly. The crowd bursting into a cheer, the bench jumping as the opponent goalkeeper lower his head solemnly, everything I dreamt of happened in that split second. The split second that I have yearned for for years.

6-3. A scoreline that can shut everybody’s mouth up about us being lucky. We worked hard for the championship and we won it. We did not pop out of nowhere like many people thought. We indeed work from scratch, trained like crazy to achieve what we got today.

All our achievement is only equivalent to how hard we have worked. I daresay we have trained harder than any team, more than any team. The improvement in the overall standard is astonishing, but it did not come overnight. Training after training, we got better. Many of us trained regularly on our own, finding time out of our busy schedule just to hound our skills to perfection. Talents are not born, they are made.

CHS B div 2011 has made it mark as the champions of the 5th National Inter-School Floorball Championship. We made the mark, set the standards for the rest of the juniors to follow. We have done our jobs as seniors, setting the path for the rest of the juniors to follow. We left a legacy, being role models for the younger ones to follow. We made the impossible possible. We did what most thought was impossible. Determination and unity is the key. CHS B div 2011 has ended its journey in victory, a glorious memory that we shall all remember for the rest of our lives. Let us all cheer, for all our hard work and pain we have endured to achieve what we have accomplished today.

Darrell:

6-6. Great game everybody.

But just wanna bring across to message to everybody, it is good to know that we are somewhere close to VS standard, BUT we got to understand that they had a few missing players (Judging from their numbers) and they definitely wasn't playing to their best yet. Maybe 80% or less WHILE we were close to ur 90%. I mean, when did we play so well? To be truthful, I think that was more or less what we are capable of only. We don't have anything left. That was all we got. If VS was to play better than what they did today, I honestly don't think we can hold them at 6-6.

All of their players are good, of a minimum standard at least, while we still got sereval players that still need to catch up. They got a steady bench and the reserves are capable of filling in whenever they are needed and yet keep the standard up. If we were to require a change in our line-up, there is definitely a certain drop in standard for the whole line.

All I got to say is this, we are close but not there yet. We still have plenty of room for improvement and right now I can only say that we are capable of entering the 2nd round. Top 4? Maybe, but still got some way to go. Going Top 4 means that we have to beat schools like Northland, VS, East View, Teck Whye, Bedok South, Coral, and if worst come to worst, Bukit Merah. For the 2nd round, if we want to qualify, we can only lose to one team.

Are you confident that we can beat VS when we meet them in B div in 1 month or so? If you are not, work harder.

Darrell:

11 - 2

Even though the squad only had 9 outfielders for this game, we were still able to beat St Gabriel. As usual, the team was only able to step up the game's intensity in the 3rd period.

The scoreline could have been better. Defence got to work harder and forwards have to support and help defend as well.

Work hard! Let's get better and better!

Team Penang
Friday, November 19, 2010

Darrell:

5-13.

That is the scoreline against Team Penang.

Overall performance was not too bad but there are definitely areas which we can work on, esp the defence.

After all, it was a 5v5 game and was much different from our usual 4v4 game play. As players, winning and losing should not be our utmost priority but learning from every game should be a player's most important task.

There is still much which we can work on and hope that we can be ready by February for B div.

Hwaiting!!!

Encouragement

encouraging a teammate is very important....

even if it was a lucky goal, i'm sure a little encouragement won't hurt right?

hahaha tt's kinda what i learnt from tday....

maybe my posts will be like what i learnt from each trng if there is.....

or maybe it'll be crap.

2.4 run
Thursday, September 16, 2010

some ppl may be thinking or complaining why this term got 2.4km run (more?)..

idk too but i personally feel, as long as mr han thinks it'll help us,

i'll do it.

on tuesday, jed ran the last few rounds(i think) with a cramped thigh(?) or smth

and even though he knew we were all gna go up to ish luh, he still insisted on finishing the 2.4 when i told him he could stop.

a team is not made up of skilled individuals...

it's these type of players that work hard, persistence of their own, determination to do well and nvr give up that makes a team.

and our team really needs more players like jed.

Darrell:

Scoreline. 5-2.

Performance on the whole: relatively okay but could have done much better.

Areas to improve on: Play the simple passes. Forwards do not attack alone, engage defender to attack as well. Defender must dare to commit to attacking.

Areas that we have done well: Was pretty strong in defense.

Personal thoughts: Yea, I personally think we could have gotten a much better scoreline than this. IF we want to beat top schools in B div this coming season, we got to be able to beat teams like this by a larger margin. Furthermore, these players have stopped playing floorball for quite a while already and fitness wise, they should be much lousier than us. So Jia YOU ba!

In my opnion, I would consider it a huge success! Well done to all those that participated actively in the dance. I would like to thank everybody that dance for the amount of hardwork and effort they put to display such a wonderful performance.

It was a pity that the entire floorball CCA did not dance but I'm sure we can spread the passion and our love to the rest of the team slowly. We will be one CCA, one team=)

i think we really shld cherish the remaining time left to play tgth..
if there's smth u disagree with what someone else did,
tell tt person.

don't just keep it to urself or tell someone else(talking behind someone's back=one of the things i hate the most abt ppl)

if we want to succeed, we gotta to tell each other what we don't like abt tt someone.
like if u see someone do smth u think is wrong or could be better, tell him etc...

so for the sec 2s, hope u read this, i hope u really make use of this remaining time tt u can train tgth with the sec 3s...

ZARF VS Innebandy
Friday, July 30, 2010

Darrell:

One important factor that will aid in your growth in your floorball skills will be experience and exposure.

Your imagination will be restricted to the amount of experience and exposure on court. The more you see, the more you learn and you will be able to open up to more things which you might not have come across before. By seeing more, you learn more.

Watching the best 2 clubs in Singapore play agianst each other will be a perfect opportunity for you to get a taste of top class floorball skills in Singapore as you watch national players facing one another on court.

Floorball
Monday, July 19, 2010

Darrell:

Just want to share something with you guys...

Maybe training for 'Top 4', wanting to improve badly or some other factors have affected us in vision for floorball. Some of us may have even lost sight of the original reason we have started playing floorball...

No matter what, we should never forget one thing when we are playing floorball, and that is to have fun...

So when we are playing floorball, remember, HAVE FUN!

Enjoy yourself, enjoy the game. Don't let the winning get all over your head, the true meaning behind playing floorball remains unchanged.

During your free time, just grab a ball, play around with it. There is no need to get stressed up trying to improve over a short period of time. Spend longer time with your stick and you will improve definitely...

Treat trainings seriously and take every drill as if it was in a real game situation. You will become better.

Pick up skills from better players and learn from them.

Floorball is a sport we should enjoy. It's a fun game.

All good players have passion, and they love to play with the ball and that is why they are so good... Cose they love floorball... Cose they enjoy floorball.

I disagree with the statement " Nobody train to lose", but not everybody train to win. Some people just enjoy floorball purely and I believe this will be the people that will excel.

Get this wrong concept out of your mind right now, don't train to win, train be'cose you want to improve, cose~ you enjoy playing floorball.

Passion comes from within, skills comes from passion, winning comes from skill. Winning ultimately comes from within...

just wanted to share the 3 things i have in my mind whenever i train or play in a match....

PLAY HARD!!!!

PLAY SMART!!!!!!!!!!

HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'C' div finals
Friday, July 16, 2010

Darrell:
Went to watch the 'C' div finals today. Bukit Merah won East view 5-1.

Was a rather good game, not a very good one but pretty okay since they are 'C' div only.
Once again, watching the finals and prize presentation got me envious. Really hope to be one of them receiving the prize, better still, be playing in the finals. I swear, the atmosphere, the fans, the cheering, everything was perfect. It's like the dreamland that I always dreamt of when I'm playing floorball in my dreams.

Few things I noted:

- Coach like to instruct the team to pass the ball to their star player and hope that they make magic with it, which they sometime do. I'm pretty upset about this fact. Yes, getting the ball to the star player may be more dangerous and the chances of scoring is also higher, but isn't floorball a team game? Isn't it a game where talents win games and teamwork and intelligence win championships? Since teams, even Bukit Merah, are only playing with 1 player, if we play as a team against them, we might stand a chance...

- Fitness is important. The star player could have remain on court and whack in more goals but due to fitness problems, they can't field that long. Players also tend to lose concentration when they are tired. If we could last longer on court than the opponents, we might stand a chance too...

- Get your shots on target!!! Watch many shots flew over the bar and at the keeper. Kicked the railings till my toes are hurting now. Seriously, there was this guy that slapshot like 8+ time and all were at the keeper or off target. Pls, get it on target if you want to have a chance of scoring... If our shots are superb, we might have a higher chance...

Watching the finals brought me that 'feeling'. I don't know how you describe it, but it's a mixture of jealousy and desire to get into the finals next year. It sort of brings out the temptation to seek revenge to seek justice, by getting the championship next year.

C.H.S Avengers... To beat all teams that we have lost to, to get revenge? Teck whye, East View, VS, Greendale, Northbrook. This few are some teams which we want to prove to them that we can play floorball. Prove them that we are no step-overs, that we aren't the same team they played last time. Show them that we have improved, and that we are better than them.

Currently working on a 'dark horse/revenge' concept. Maybe it can motivate the team and bring that 'fire' out of the players by pushing their desire for some justice to be done... Show to everybody that CHS floorball is something everybody should be scared of...

Team unity
Friday, July 2, 2010

Darrell:

I'm very sad to tell you guys that one of our teammates have decided to drop out of the team. Whether he will leave or not, the decision have yet to be decided by Mr Han.

I'm sure many of you are aware of certain things that have happened in the team currently. Our lack of concern and care to our fellow teammates have ultimately caused us, a teammate.

A teammate that always supported us from behind; efforts he contributed to the team can't be summarised in a word or two.

Remember who was the one who always go after the loose ball after we shoot so as to let us progress with our training?
Remember who was the one whom always keep the boards regardless of rain or shine? Remember who was the one that frequently mopped the court after training?

HIM. Things that he have done are not appreciated, things he did wasn't recognised.

That's be'cose most of you just leave immediately after training, leaving individually back home.

Such a great teammate, we may just lose him just be'cose of the lack of team unity. Just be'cose we failed to care. Never once anybody appreciated what he have done for us. Never.

I have greatly emphasised on the importance of team unity. "One for all, all for one." Only people that understand team unity will be able to understand what this phrase truly means...

Why were we unable to qualify for 'b' div 2 years straight? The team wasn't close enough. The team was solely made up by a bunch of individuals rather than a team.

Even if he may not get into the team eventually, that should be up to Mr Han to decide, not for him to decide. Not for some unnecessarily comment that denies him of his chance to get into the team.

The cause of this incident was only a spark. Many things happened before it lead to this ultimate tragedy. If it's anybody fault, it's everybody.

This incident have shown us what a lack of team unity can cause us. This may just be the beginning. If it continues, you may be the next one. You never know...

I truly do not wish to see a similar incident happening again. Can we have a better team spirit in the future? Learn to care. Learn to put yourself in other's people shoe. Learn to be a team.

Remember. Everybody is equal in the team, nobody should be more superior than the other. Cose~ we are a team.

Passion, Flare...
Monday, June 28, 2010

Darrell:

To me, there are 2 most important things a sportsmen should have in order to excel in his area of sports. Passion and flare.

Passion, it determines how much you love the sport and how much effort you will be willing to put in just in order to improve and move on to the next level. A sportsman without the passion for his sport will not go far as he is not eager to play or train. Only people who truly enjoy and love the sport will be willing to train hard and at the same time, enjoy the sport.

Flare. Some of us had a discussion on the definition of this word. Ryan believes that it is a kind of attitude, a kind of character, something that keeps a player slightly arrogant and cocky but aids in his performance. Cren and Derek think it is some kind of in-born talent, a kind of ability, the potential to do well.

I believe it is a mixture of determination on court, along with the ability to do well when required, the ability to excel in sports. It is something that is inborn, something that keeps a player fighting till the very last minute. I believe it is the kind of fire in a player that will keep him unbeaten, keep him in a state where he only wants to win, at all cost.

Passion and flare. Some of us have it and some of us don’t. It’s all inside us. There is no way to develop them or a way to remove them. They are part of us, they are what shape us into the players we have became today.

Do you have it? Or do you have either? If you have neither, it should be time you consider whether you should continue playing floorball, cause you might just be wasting time…

If you have either or even both, my advice, keep going don’t give up, cose~ you will definitely succeed oneday…

Just a personal opinion. I feel that during a drill like simple dribble, should visualise it inside a game instead of pulling off a perfect shot using a lot of space.

Team Dance 2010, Bonamana
Tuesday, June 22, 2010

A new custom will be passed down from this batch onwards...

Every year, the captain will decide on a team dance and the team shall all learn and dance it!!!

This year round, our mighty captain, Darrell, have decided on Super Junior's Bonamana!!

Below are some good video reference I have found. Look closely, cose we will be dancing it!!

Relax, all dance step shall be taught by me so no worries, let's do it. Pls don't say NO, give me some support, if even my fellow Sec 3 friends and teammates don't support, I doubt this whole thing will happen. Let's make it happen. It's our year now, don't let this only chance slip away, let's have some fun and bring out a sense of unity and team spirit!!!

This is a slightly more relaxed version, probably the kind we will dance. Audio slightly slow too. But its good...

Time to wake up...
Monday, June 21, 2010

Joshua:

this post will probably sound harsh and arrogant?

but i don't really care 'cause I and ppl who truly know me, know tt i'm not.
we probably have gone over this topic lots and lots of time(at least among the sec 3s)

main topic: (at least) Top 4 for Bdiv floorball 2011 nationals

at first i really believed that the sec 2s or at least a majority would be able to improve over time but after what i observed from two incidents last saturday i've given up.

1: when eugene/jed made a mistake(which everyone might make in a game, not just gks) and let in or almost let in a goal, some sec 2s called him robert green and it was loud enough for them to hear it.

in nationals are u gonna shout tt for everyone in the court to hear? think abt it...it not only demoralises the keeper and just tells everyone tt our team is not united(at least half is though) and definitely do not deserve to win.

2: when mr han was playing, some sec 2s took the small white board. at first i thought "good, they're gonna think of some plan/plays to try carry out when they're in the game" but instead, they were laughing and joking as they imagined england's line up and possible play on the board.
i mean like u're suppose to watch the game and try learn smth from it.

so to sum up, i really want to get past the 1st round, the 2nd round etc...but if any1 is going to prevent tt from happening because you're not putting in (enough) effort (especially during trng), i'd rather u not even try to get into the team.
sec 2s: as far as i can see, at this rate, only like 4 deserve to be in the team.
sec 3s: if u're gonna have the mentality that your shooting/passing/dribbling sucks and let it affect you, you're not only letting urself down, you're letting the whole team and mr han down 'cause we all know tt u're better than tt. and some of you are not even focused in trng. idk whether it's dota or ur personal stuff but once u're on the court u better completely put 100% of ur mind into trng 'cause if u're not gonna to, u nvr will.
so please...if u really wanna be in the team, if u really share the same ambition as me, please start focusing, trng properly, running not walking or jogging.
and don't just do tt for tmr..do it for EVERY trng and let us work tgth as a team for tt goal we can achieve by just doing the right things.

Dance session.
Sunday, June 20, 2010

Darrell:

If everything goes well, I will be organising a dance session after this tuesday training!!!

Will probably dance 'Sorry Sorry' since it is a good dance to start with.

The main aim of the dance, other than having fun, is to build up a sense of unity and a sense of belonging to the team.

It will also be a good chance for people that are not in the 'floorball gang', to interact with us and see if they might blend in...

Even if you might not like dancing, give me some face pls, just try~

It will be a fun time so no stress people!!! let's do it.

Darrell:

I haven lose faith in the team yet but the performance they are giving is really making it very difficult for me to believe that we can actually make it to Top 4.

It is not impossible, but at this pace, I really think we can't make it.

The team thinks that they are strong, they think that they don't have to train that hard. They think that they have Top 4 quality already.

They think that getting Top 4 is easy, esp the Sec 2s. C div 2nd round! They think that they are good, walking with their heads up, thinking that they need not train too hard since they are so good~

TRUTH is, at this stage, we will not even be able to qualify for 2nd round. I have seen the material needed to get to Top 4. We are not even a little bit close...

We are training as if we are one of the best teams... We are training as if we are champions. Till this point, hardly anyone came to ask me or any of the seniors for advices on how to improve. Only a handful. Jie Ying? Seh Hian? Derek?

This goes to show how much some players want to improve.

My opinion? A lot of them came to training to PLAY. HELLO!!! Haven Mr Han make it very clear that we are training for Top 4!!! PLAY PLAY PLAY. Only disrupting those who want to train properly.

Given individual training? Everybody just shoot at the goalpost aimlessly.

Individual training time is given to us to let us work on our weakness and to build up on some of our skills or techniques that might need practise. Don't tell me tht the whole team are weakest in their shooting... And be'cose of everybody shooting, when I want to practise shooting, I don't even have to space to do so...

Hopefully Mr Han has everything planned out. Then maybe we will have a chance to get Top 4...

Cose there is nothing I can do now. I can only do my best to help those that want to improve, for those that want to slack, I can't care less.

Team spirit? Unity?

One for all, all for one? Haiz...

Top 4 dream

Jarryl here--------

lol seriously, so few people care bout this blog now. Idk, but im just gonna stand in my perspective and make this post.

We had a big dream, a top 4 dream. Really, that hot shot scene where the team trained so hard always come to my mind when i think about top 4.

But looking at people slacking during just plank alone, i dont know. Physical training? I say we do something way tougher than what we did on saturday.

I still believe we can make it to top 4, at least for now. Its only june now.

Look at meridian, they are playing in div 3 and they got champions. Honestly, im disappointed with the number of people that took part in the floorball league. Its for exposure, its for experience, its part of the process to winning. But i dont know why, you are way richer than me and yet i can pay for the cost.

Its not bout the money for you, its the studies part. Seriously, how well do u want to score in sec 3? Sec 3 results dont matter, like seriously. Except for the o levels stuffs and all. But thats in july. Some said they have no time to spare, needa concentrate on studies. Lol what a joke, please. Next time when you graduate from catholic high, all you will have is just a straight A's cert. Yes, it will help in your future, definitely. But i dont know, it aint that meaningful afterall.

Look at fulham, no one has any idea how they got into the finals, beating juventus 4-1 in the second leg?! Thats mad, really.

All hope is not lost i think.

We need to get darrell's faith back. He has seriously put in too much effort.

Actually i have no idea why im writing this. Only those who care visits this blog..

Action speak louder than words...

Darrell:

If you ask me honestly whether we can make it to Top 4, my answer would be NO.

2nd round? If unlucky, NO as well...

Then you people will start telling me that we got Joshua, Jarryl and me...

WHAT if we are injured?

And what make you believe that we can last throughout the whole game?

If we want to get Top 4, the only possible solution is through the 7 (Not mentioning names), then what's the point of registering so many players? We can just do with 7.

Yea, the 7-man team.

Top 4? Action speak louder than words...

Captain
Saturday, May 22, 2010

Darrell will always be our mighty and great captain!! Yes.

But really, who else can take up this role? Joshua is just..a ball carrier. Haha joke lah, our vice captain, and has never thought of being a captain, i think?

You see, darrell has the ability, has the leadership skills, plus he deserves to be respected, unlike ____. Most importantly, darrell never ever looks down on people who are not as skilful as him. His humility is something that lacks in some of us, i think.

Darrell for captain, yes?

Team

I'm not supporting SNSD just be'cose of their songs or their looks. What really makes me their fans is the spirit and passion they possess, as well as how they cheer on each other and support one another when in need. It is the process where the nine of them went through ups and downs to become as one, that make me admire them.

They work very hard towards their goal together, they never gave up, this is how they made their way to the top. They trusted each other and always held the belief that they can do it, which they did.

Everytime when I feel like dropping the burden of leading the team, it was them who told me not to give up. I tell myself that its is my job to bring the whole team together, and to victory...

They are my driving force, giving me the belief that I can lead the team. I will not give up, Tae Yeon did it, so can I...

*A short clip when they got the 24th Golden Disk Awards. Very touching.

Training, 11/5/10
Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Darrell:

After a long break from floorball due to the mid-year exams, everybody were eager to put in their best, hoping to regain their fine form after several weeks without training.

'C' division started their court training at 3.00 pm. Sadly, majority of the players only arrived 5 minutes before training started. Setting up of the boards definitely ate into some of their precious training time but they were quick to get their task done and started their warm-ups soon after.

The Sec 1s were all very eager to learn and improve as shown from their seriousness during training. The 'B' div Sec 3 players started their gym warm-up at 3.30 pm, while the newly stepped up 'B' div Sec 2s players ran their 2.4 km.

Most of the Sec 3s arrived on time and it was made clear that if anybody were to be late w/o valid reason, with a 10 minutes grace, the whole squad will run 10 rounds. Discipline is important within a team so such punishment is needed.

Training was unfortunately interrupted by lightning storm. I was pretty disheartened when I noticed some of the Sec 2s jumping in joy when their 2.4 km run was cancelled due to the weather. Players of such attitude is not acceptable.

Sec 3s were all giving their best during gym and I was very pleased with such results. At 4.45 pm, we made our way up the indoor sports hall for the team meeting.

Team Meeting :

Content of meeting is as follows (Correct me if I'm wrong) :

1) 'C' Div training every tuesday and thursday from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Fitness programme to be done after training once Term 2 ends.

Saturday court training at 8 am.

2) 'B' Div training every tuesday and thursday from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Sec 2s are to run 2.4 km before court, within time span of 15 minutes. Sec 3s to do gym before training.

Saturday training in the morning at 8 am, Sec 2s to run their 2.4 km and Sec 3s to do gym. Court training at 10.30 am.

3) 'B' Div squad to be cut to 20 players by 3rd week of June holidays and be finalised to 16 players by EOY, somewhere during late September.

4) 'B' Div aim for next season is Top 4. Players who do not have the same aim are not needed and advised to change their CCA.

5) Players to be selected by the 2 As, attitude and ability. Attitudes includes the player's determination to seek improvement as well as his passion for floorball. Regular attendance will be shown if the players are having the right attitude. Ability includes players' technical skills and discipline on court, such as sticking to game plan and their determination to win back the ball on court.

6) No food and drinks allowed in the hall. Players are to set up and keep the board together, nobody is to change or leave before boards are fully kept.

7) Seniors should not be bullying their juniors for no reasons.

That pretty much sums up the major content of the team meeting.

Court training started shortly after. This was the very 1st time the Sec 2s and Sec 3s are training together, along with some alumni players coming back to train for their DSAs. Little communication were made and players are still sticking with players of the same batch, with the Sec 2s on the left and Sec 3s on the right. Seniors were all eager to show off their skills while the Sec 2s were cluelessly staring in awe as the seniors did their hard and skillful shots that landed in the goalpost.

After drills were completed, the team was broke into different lines with seniors and juniors being mixed together, allowing more chances for everybody to get to know each other. The game went smoothly and players were going all out on court. The intensity was great and everybody played well. I spotted a few outstanding Sec 2 players. Probably when it comes to cutting down of the team, the seniors might not be sparred as well, with some of the Sec 2s being ready to step as well.

The training on the overall was great. I give it a 9 / 10 =) Keep up the good job.
